Internet Research of Locations

I searched the Internet for locations within London where our group could film (possibly the killer's 'den/hideout'). I looked for deserted places because this is the slasher convention - killer's are lonely people who actually prefer to be alone, therefore their hideout is in the middle of no where and is dilapidated. I found pictures of a a post-war bungalow in East Dulwich (Copyright: Paul Talling's Derelict London 2013)

I found this picture of the back door interesting because it has posters on it - a poster of Marilyn Monroe in a telephone box with D7606 written underneath and one of an Asian man's face. Having done some research into what D7606 is, I found that it is a London street artist, whose work includes putting icons such as Twiggy, Audrey Hepburn and Princess Diana in colourful telephone boxes and on post boxes. Also, the artist has a lot of work in Shoreditch, London.

I did some research into Shoreditch and found that there is a disused train station near to D7606's work.

The first image was taken in 2001, there is not an updated image of this area. This would be perfect as a killer's den because it is completely worn out, dusty with dirt everywhere - this could convey how the killer needs a secluded place to hide or kill. Also, the image of the stairs is good because, again, it is dirty, not cared for and dark which could put across how doesn't mind where he is, just as long as he has somewhere remote to do his work.
This picture was taken in 2006, where there is a collection of shoes on wires. I don't know if these shoes are still there however, if they aren't we could put some on there again. The shoes create an eerie atmosphere, that there was once life there but not any longer and these battered shoes serve as a 'souvenir' of that. It makes you begin to wonder who and where these people are.

In addition, I found an image of some graffiti in Shoreditch and it says "Let's adore and endure each other" and if we used this in our project, it would be ironic because there is someone going out and killing people which is the opposite to what the writing says.
Next, I researched the Klinger factory in Sidcup and found a video of someone walking through it. It is unkempt with doors and dirt all over the floors. As my mother used to work there in the '80s, I have seen pictures of how well it used to look so seeing this new version is shocking. Here are some print screens from the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IpsKQ5hOK0c

On a wall in a big dark room, someone has written "Hey people, I'm watching you ha ha" and apart from the "hey people" and " ha ha" this is quite scary, so we could incorporate something like this but make it less comical.
